This post is another in my comfortable mom clothes series. I’ve been giving this a lot of thought apparently. This week’s inspiration comes from two dresses that I’ve been wearing on heavy rotation ever since I bought them, and I highly recommend the entire collection.

Lou & Grey’s Signature Soft collection is seriously that. I’ve raved about the swing dress I bought from Loft a few times on the blog, and recently I also purchased another dress that comes in the amazingly soft fabric. These dresses have the softness of new sweatshirts, but somehow manage to retain that softness even after a few washes. I keep going back to them because I feel like I’m wearing pajamas.

Even though I tend to wear these dresses while sitting on the couch all day, they could easily be dressed up for more formal occasions as well. I know if I were still teaching I would still be wearing these dresses constantly.

Below I’m linking the dresses that I already own, as well as some other pieces that are made of the same fabric. You seriously need these clothes.

Swing Dress – $69.50

This is the first dress I bought (although I have it in gray) that made me a Lou & Grey lover. The swing shape is very forgiving, but it fits in a way on top that doesn’t make me feel like a tent. You can see pictures of me in this dress in this blog post.

Sweatshirt Dress – $59.50

This is the dress I just bought in the olive color. I’m currently wearing it as I write this post. It feels like heaven. I often wear this dress with leggings and a scarf to make it even cozier. This dress would also look great with a blazer and a statement necklace. It’s a great basic that can be dressed up or down, and you’ll be super comfortable either way.

Cowl Tunic – $49.88

Doesn’t this look so cozy? The length is perfect for fall, and it’s on sale!

 Hoodie – $59.50

Speaking of soft sweatshirts… this one would be great for a relaxing weekend at home.

Ombre Tunic – $59.50

There are a lot of great items in the Signature Soft collection, like a cardigan, pencil skirt, and sweet looking moto jacket, but for the last piece I wanted to share this beautiful ombre tunic. I just love the color, and it contrasts with all of Lou & Grey’s neutral pieces.

I hope you enjoy my picks. The only thing that would make the dresses I own better is if they had pockets (like this one). Let me know if you try them! And now…

The first post I want to feature this week is from Dawn Lucy’s blog Fashion Should Be Fun. She highlighted a bunch of looks from various fashion weeks that have been baring shoulders. I haven’t been paying much attention to this side of fashion lately, so it was fun looking at what all the models were wearing. Dawn Lucy also included a bunch of wearable and affordable options, so the rest of us can also join in on this trend.

The second post I wanted to mention is Kim’s from Champagneista. I love how Kim takes basic pieces with a little bit of detail, like her cross front dress, and dresses them up with great accessories like her leopard clutch and fun earrings.
