The past couple of weeks I’ve really noticed the change in my personal style. It’s interesting how quickly I’ve gone from dressing like a teacher, to coming dangerously close to wearing sweatpants everyday. Luckily, I don’t own any sweatpants, (I got rid of all my college gear a couple of years ago) so I can’t actually give into the temptation.
It’s especially difficult on days like today when I’m not planning on leaving the house. So here’s what I came up with.
I started with a plaid shirt I bought from Old Navy last year and then added this graphic tank top you may have seen if you’ve been in Target recently. I couldn’t resist it because PSLs are my jam. Then so I would feel somewhat put together I added skinny jeans from Stitch Fix. I’ve had these for over a year so they’re very comfortable, and if I ventured outside it wouldn’t look like I was wearing PJs under my coat.
Turns out I didn’t leave the house. Thus my stylish Costco slippers you can see in a couple of the photos.
I love this set of pictures because it shows what my life is like right now. My husband-photographer was being “artistic” while my toddler wanted to be in the middle of everything. Yup. Pretty great.

The post with the most clicks this week was Shelbee’s from Shelbee on the Edge.
In this look Shelbee paired a more feminine lace top with ripped jeans. I really like this juxtaposition of styles, because it keeps an outfit from looking too feminine or edgy.
My favorite post this week was Jacqui’s from Mummabstylish.
Black and white in an outfit is so classic, and I love the fun polka dots peaking out from underneath her sweater. This outfit reminds me of something I would have worn while teaching, although probably with blue jeans instead of black pants. I also love her necklace.
