The theme for this month’s Ipsy Glam Bag was Sugar Highness. The bag is adorable and I got some great items, including what might be my favorite Ipsy item yet!

How it Works:

  • Sign up for Ipsy. Sometimes there’s a wait list, but you can usually perform some task to get past it.
  • Complete their style profile.
  • Every month a bright pink package will show up in your mail box containing your Glam Bag.
  • Each bag has five items included that are usually sample size and match your profile.
  • After trying out your items be sure to review them on their website in order to earn points and receive items that more closely match your taste in the future.
  • You can also purchase products from Ipsy at a discount. While I haven’t done it yet personally, I think this is one of the best perks about the service.

I love the style of this Glam Bag. I was kind of hoping for the blue version, but I also appreciate the simplicity and soft colors of this one. It’s definitely one of my favorite bags so far.

What do you do with so many makeup bags??? This is what I used to ask myself. I have a drawer full of them from months of subscribing to the service. Well let me tell you, they make moving really easy. I’ve been sorting all of my makeup products into different bags, and once I’m done with that I’m going to move on to my jewelry too! Our new apartment has a pedestal sink, which means I won’t have any drawers. I’m hoping I can use this same organization technique to keep me from going crazy.

Dermelect ‘ME’ Peptide Infused Lacquer – Buy it here (lots of colors)

This color kind of reminds me of Barbie pink. That kind of purple-pink color. I applied a double coat on my nails, it was easy to apply and seems to be holding up well. Overall the color is not my favorite, but I like the polish itself.

In the photo above I have used the rest of the products that came in my Glam Bag.

Tarte Cosmetics deluxe Lipsurgence lip creme – Buy it here

Lip colors are just so difficult for me. I’ve yet to find one that I feel looks really good on me, because I’m afraid they all clash with my hair color. Other than that I really like this lip creme. It rubs off after awhile, but most colors do unless it’s a lip stain. I’m just lazy when it comes to applying makeup so it’s something I’ve noticed.

Pacifica Sundreams Lotus Infused Bronzer – similar due of Pacifica bronzer

I’m a huge fan of this brand. The bronzer is really pretty and goes on nicely like all other Pacifica products that I’ve tried.

Marc Anthony True Professional Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco Deep Hydrating Conditioning Treatment – Buy it here or here

I love this stuff. It smells really good, and the scent stays in my hair which is nice. It’s not overpowering though. I’ve used it twice now and it makes my hair feel really soft and keeps it from tangling, which is quite a feat because I have a lot of hair. The best part about this is you use it weekly, so it’s not a daily treatment. This is the first item from Ipsy where I feel like I need to run out and purchase it on my own (unfortunatly Ipsy doesn’t have a ‘deal’ available for it). I highly recommend this product!

Beau Gachis Paris Pro Series Applicator Sponge – similar or if you prefer something with a little more bling

I haven’t actually tried out this sponge because I don’t use liquid foundation. However, the bulb on the end is very easy to hold and control, and the pointed end would make application easy. On their website Ipsy claims that it blends better than a brush or fingers.

Have you given Ipsy a try? What did you think of this month’s Glam Bag?
