I’m finally getting around to this post. I’ve said before that I’m not a makeup person and I mean it. It took me forever to get up the motivation to take pictures, and then I went and got lasik eye surgery and couldn’t wear eye makeup for a week. Sigh… Luckily Ipsy makes it easy for me to get makeup that works for me by sending me five, curated products according to my style profile for only $10 a month. Here’s what I got in July.
Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer – Buy it here
This primer goes on easily and has a pleasant coconut scent. My skin felt great all day (usually it gets kind of oily). I can’t vouch for how well it cures a hangover though.
Mr Write Now Eyeliner by theBalm – Buy it here
I’m a huge fan of theBalm makeupand this eyeliner is great. I appreciate that they sent a brown color because usually I just get black from makeup subscriptions. It goes on smoothly too.
Powerlash Mascara by ModelCo
This mascara is ok but not my favorite. I prefer mascaras that give me a little more volume, and I don’t feel like this one does anything for me.
Vasanti Cosmetics Professional Eyeshadow Brush – Similar
This brush is great. It applies a good amount of shadow in a precise way.
Nunzio Saviano Anti-Frizz Sheets – Buy them here
Ipsy sent four of these. I like how easy these are to use: you just run it over your hair. However I feel like it was equivalent to wetting down my hair, and then after it dried my hair was frizzy again. It looks nice in the pictures though!
I feel like I definitely need some lip makeup… but nothing came in this bag. Maybe next month…
While you’re here I’ll tell you about my outfit! I’m absolutely in love with my new Gilli dress from Golden Tote. I don’t usually wear this color of blue, but I think I’m rocking it. I also love this necklace from Charming Charlie that looks a lot like a Kendra Scott necklace, but for only $10! I also got this phone case from there. My son loves to look at the glitter.
What did you think of my Ipsy bag?
